Puppycam Update

Puppycam seems to be live again. However, only one puppy remains. We saw this puppy play with his Mommy today. We feel sad for the puppy. I'ze so glad I have my brother.

Weekend WrapUp

Grandma and Grandpa were here last night and of course they brought us treats. We love the treats they bring us. Today we went over to Sandy's house and played with her for a while. Then we drove around and stopped at all the pups that we know houses. I think something's going on but I'm not sure. And now we're sitting around watching the Chargers game. They must be doing really well or really bad because Poppa has been doing a lot of yelling and hollering. He sais that the outcome of today's game determines if we go to the playoffs or not.

Busy Weekend

Kitty arrived yesterday morning. She'll be here til Monday and as usual Sporkie and her aren't getting along very well. Kitty tries to bulldog everyone here. Last night Monte was laying at the top of the stairs and Kitty told him if he didn't go into the bedroom she was going to scratch his eyes out. That's mean. No major altercations during the night though. Last night we went over to Carley's house (aka The Kissing Bandit). We had some cheese and rawhides - yum. And Monte stole a cookie. Grandma and Grandpa will be over this afternoon for dinner. We'ze excited cause when Grandma's here we always get something special to eat.

Christmas News

Monte got a polar bear for Christmas. We also got treat (can't have too many of those) and pigs ears. Lauren and Maddy got us toys and treats too!

Oh and we went to Aunt Corey's last night and guess who came to visit?? Santa. We'ze was in the back room tracking him on Norad and then he walked in the door.

It hasn't been working for the last two days. We think all the pups may have found new homes. So sad :-(

Rainy Days

It's been raining here all day and it's supposed to be like this again tomorrow - yuck. It's been great having Momma and Poppa back. Right now I'm laying here getting brushings from Poppa. Last night we went and picked out a Christmas tree and plan to decorate tomorrow. L&M had a cookie party today. We didn't go cause Momma said there would be to much chocolate there for us and she didn't think that we'd be able to resist getting us some. We're hoping that Aunt Corey saved us a few. I can hardly believe that Christmas is only 6 days away. Wonder what Santa is bringing us.

They're Home

They picked us up about 6 from Aunt Corey's and we'ze been gettin lovins ever since. Momma had a long talking with us cause Monte wasn't very good this visit. Why am I being grouped into this? Momma found out that Monte was waling us Aunt Corey every night. I had nothing to do with it. I'm innocent. Anyway, it's great to be back home. Momma went and picked up Red, he's looking good. Life at Carrie's definately treated him well. And of course Sporkie is as fiesty as ever and Tanner just wants food. So all's normal at our house again. Momma and Poppa mentioned maybe putting up the Christmas tree tomorrow night. Yay! we can't wait. We're heading up to bed now. It's been a long day for Momma and Poppa. We'ze hoping they will let us in bed with them. Will write more tomorrow.

Today is the DAY!!!

Momma and Poppa are coming home today! We can't wait! Monte had a rough night last night - he just could not sleep because he was so excited about them coming home. Tonight, we are going to march right up the stairs and it to momma & poppa's bed with them, and they will have missed us so much that they are going to let us - I just know it! It's still raining or something here, last night when Uncle Crumley took us for a walk the ground was a little crunchy. Mostly it's just dreary though. But none of it matters because we'ze going home today!!!

It's So Pretty!

It's snowing here! The flakes are really big and I keep looking at them trying to figure them out and Monte just likes to stand in them. Right now it's coming down pretty heavy but not staying on the ground at all - just on our backs! Aunt Corey took us for a walk in the rain this morning, which was fun. We've seen Rocky, but not Champ or Due. And Lauren & Maddy have been home most of the day which we much prefer. Now if they would just let us lay on the couch...

So we have not been getting our twice a day walks that we usually do, but we have gone the last few nights. We are not sure what to make of the big light up things. Mostly we look at them funny. Today we got bored so we may have eaten a christmas tree ornament - maybe Lauren's gingerbread man she made at school when she was two. But I'm not telling...

This Place Sucks!

well maybe it doesn't suck but it's not as good as home... Saturday was no fun, they kept going in & out and leaving us alone, they took naps, went to bed early. But Monte showed them we were unhappy around 4am - hehehe - we got to go out & got new bones. OH! Speaking of bones, Aunt Corey gave us crappy ones last night, we did not like them at all! So we let her know again :) It finally stopped raining and got warm today, Cole and her dad came over to play for a while so that was good. Aunt Ethel is still in the hospital, which sucks, because who is going to tell us how beautiful we are??? But her daughter came to visit last

night and we managed to get her covered in hair the punctuation isn't working, I just lost a bunch of my post again, argh!.

Day Two Not at Home

Well it's been quite the day around here! Aunt Corey went out last night and Charis babysat us and she said we were very well behaved dogs. The Uncle Crumley came home from work at 4:30am and we was so excited cuz we thought he was there to play with us but all he wanted to do was go to bed! Lots of commotion from the girls getting up & getting ready, lots of cheerios dropped on the floor, then Aunt Corey took us for a walk all by ourselves - we was so happy that we didn't even make her clean up our poop! Then there was lots of in and out and phone calls, Aunt Corey was upset because her neighbor Ethel who we love to bark at (and who happens to be a very smart woman because she says we are the prettiest dogs she has ever seen!) had a mini-stroke today but she is okay and will hopefully come home tomorrow. Aunt Corey used that loud machine to clean the floors and Monty jumped right up on the couch and when she yelled at him to get down, he stood on the other one instead. She was not happy. The girls just made something with pretzels and dropped a bunch for us but Lauren kept picking up the chocolate before we could get it. And guess what we are doing right now? We'ze watching the Grinch!!! Charis will be here again tonight, she's nice to us so we don't mind. Can't wait to see what kind of craziness these people have tomorrow!

So we're here at Aunt Corey's now. Of course she forgot our beds but she swears she is going to get them in a few minutes when Lauren goes to girl scouts. Me & Monty have been punishing her by repeatedly going outside in the rain and rolling around. Now Monty is out there barking at the people picking up the kids from school. Lauren's friend Caroline is here and she LOVES us and is giving us a TON of pettings. Maddy just puked all over the kitchen floor but Aunt Corey cleaned it up before we could. And they have been taking lots of pictures of us with Lauren's camera - I'm going to try to post a few. OH - and they gave us each one of the christmas cookies they bought us earlier too! Life is pretty good all things considered!

Momma leaves tonight

In preparation for Momma's departure we hung out with her all weekend and Poppa's been sick so we stayed away from him. I wish she wasn't going but she says she has to - it's for work. Hopefully Poppa will feel so bad about leaving us home alone that we will get extra treat. Don't worry though cause Aunt Corey will be coming over to give us pee breaks. Then Poppa leaves on Thursday and we go to Aunt Corey's. Red is going to Carrie's house and the kitties will have the house to themselves. I hear Momma and Poppa are going to Switzerland. I hope they bring me some cheese.

IT'S SNOWING!!

We'ze were hanging out chillin'when Aunt Corey called to tell us to look outside - it's snowing. I went outside right away and started making snow angels.

Thanksgiving Wknd Wrap Up

I can’t believe that Thanksgiving weekend is over. Poppa has been home with us for 4 days now and Momma just returned from dropping him off at the airport for a work trip from which he’ll return Tuesday after we go to bed. The weather is really horrible. It’s been dreary and raining all day – very depressing. But the rest of the weekend has been great. Thanksgiving was great. Grandma and Grandpa were here and we ate and watched football. I got my first taste of pumpkin pie and it was delish! On Friday we ate a lot of leftovers and went out and bought something for Momma for Christmas (I can’t tell you what cause she reads my blog all the time and it’s a surprise.) As usual we went to the park and we met up with Carly and played for a long time. Momma was complaining though cause we weren't listening very well. Saturday Poppa went with us to the park and we decorated for Christmas. Momma says we’re not putting up a Christmas tree til she gets back from Europe in mid December (we’re going on vacation to Aunt Coreys’ while Momma and Poppa are gone) Last night we went to Aunt Corey’s so Momma could go to the Fire Truck Christmas parade. Poppa stayed home with us but we could hear all the sirens from the house. Monte slept right through it but I was panicked the entire time - running back and forth to the door waiting for Momma. I hope she doesn’t go again next year. Then for dinner the humans all had fondue – us pups got screwed again. I don’t see why I can’t get any. And today, like I said was a dreary day. We didn’t do much. We helped Poppa rake leaves and laid around for the rest of the day til it was time to take Poppa to the airport. We miss you Poppa. Now we’re home with Momma and gonna watch some tv.

Thanksgiving Update

The Thanksgiving Day Parade has just concluded with Santa on his sleigh. I took a pic of him on the tv. Poppa says it's less than a month til he gets here.

We've already been to the park today and Momma has dresses us with out Thanksgiving Day bandanas. Poppa's in the kitchen making sides and the turkey is in the oven. Grandma and Grandpa will be here soon!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

It's been a while

since I'ze had a chance to blog. Momma and Poppa have been busy with work and projects around the house and I'ze been trying to help. Poppa is almost done with the tile in the sunroom and our new bathroom. Unfortunately winter is definitely here and it's been freezing out so he hasn't been able to cut much tile. Momma has been working on the family room downstairs and it should be done this week.

Yesterday they went grocery shopping for our Thanksgiving feast. Poppa will be cooking otherwise we'd be having HotPockets for Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving cause we usually get a special meal. I wonder what it will be this year. I hope it includes some turkey and pumpkin pie. Also, this year Grandma and Grandpa are coming over and we're going to watch the Thanksgiving Parade and Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving special.

Momma and Poppa went to a Sixers game last night and look at what Poppa brought home for me. This is my absolute favorite toy. I named her Snuffie.

First snowflakes of the year

are falling right now. We just got back from the park where we ran around trying to catch them on our tongues. It's freezing out and I love it. As for Momma - not so much. We're thinking Thanksgiving isn't going to be nearly as warm this year as it was last year.

If you don't hear anything that's exactly my point. L&M have returned home. We'ze like having them here because it mean we gets lots of extra lovins from Maddy but this time Lauren was really sad that her Mom was away and she cried a lot. At one point Momma started to wonder how long L would need to cry for before dehydration was a concern. Aside from that they ate most of their meals outside of the house so we didn't get many leftovers. Kitty was here too for the weekend and Maddy squeezed her too hard and she scratched M's cheek. Tanner threated to give her a matching one on the other cheek if he didn't get fed when he wanted. Yesterday was the best day of all though. L&M bought us a new ball and we played with it in the yard for a while. L&M would throw it or kick it and we'ze go chasin it. After all the action from the weekend we slept like babies last night.

Sea Lions from San Fran

Poppa took this pic of the sea lions in San Francisco. I've never seen them in person but Momma and Poppa have many times. And Poppa has called me a couple of times this week while he's been at the Pier with them and you can hear them barking the in background. I think I'ze even heard one burp yesterday... he must have eaten too many fishes. I'm hoping Poppa will bring one back for me!!!

Halloween Fire

Last night after trick or treating was done, I changed out of my costume and put on my Halloween bandanna. We strolled on down the street with Momma and Poppa to Carley's house for a Halloween bonfire. I'ze never been in Carley's yard before. I like it cause there no fence around her yard so it's like having 3 or 4 yards all to yourself. And Carley has a pool. I'ze so going to use it this summer!Puppy Pool Party!! Humans Keep Out.

Monte was a spider - his costume lasted less than two minutes before he tore it off. I on the other hand was a perfect angel. I wore my costume all afternoon and night.

From Grandma

No tricks from Grandma this Halloween, only treats. We received mail from Grandma today and it it were treat for me and all my siblings. Even Red!! Thanks Grandma!!

Momma did laundry and look what Tanner did? He loves fresh, warm laundry. It's Wednesday and it feels like it's been a long week already. It rained a ton yesterday and there was even snow at Poppa's work. This afternoon it looked liked it was going to snow here too but it didn't. It just rained for a few minutes instead. It's been cold and windy. Not like winter in Jersey cold but cold none the less when you consider how warm it was just recently. When we went to the park today, Momma grumbled the entire time. We'ze didn't mind so much.

Our Weekend.

Carley just went home a little while ago. Here are some pics from the weekend. It rained all day yesterday so we were home bound other than our trip to Old Navy in the morning. We played a ton. Carley being a puppy has a limitless amount of energy. We were exhausted an she still had tons of emery left so she played catch with Momma and Poppa a ton too. It was actually good having her over because we played with all of our toys... there were some oldies but goodies that we hadn't played with in a while. Today we carved our big pumpkins!

Our first frost of the year

We had our first frost last night. I woke Momma up really, really early today and made her let me out. It was wonderful to feel the cold, crisp air on my whiskies. I instantly ran to the middle of the yard, fell onto my back, rolled around and listened to the crunching of the icies under me. I cameinside after a while and climbed back into my toasty bed. :-)

Fall has arrived

and with it, it brings cool days and colorful trees. I think that the Fall is my favorite season. As I ran through the park today with Monte and Momma all you could hear was the crackle, crinkle, crunch of our footsteps on the leaves. Momma and Poppa have been complaining because of the cool weather but my brother couldn't be happier. We're going to enjoy this while it lasts cause here in Jersey the weather can go from cool to warm overnight. Tomorrow is Friday finally and we are really looking forward to being home with Momma and Poppa. And Carley is staying over on Saturday cause her parents are out of town. I'ze can't wait.

Our Pumpkins

Momma took us to buy pumpkins today. One for me and each of my siblings. We can't wait to carve one. Maybe we'll do that with Poppa this weekend.

Home At Last

Momma and Poppa are home from their weekend away. Right now I'm laying here in the living room asleep. Poppa is rubbing my belly and Momma my chin. This is the life. It doesn't get any better than this. Maybe running in the park with my brother... but I"m not even sure about.

One more night

without Poppa. He's coming home and we may even go pick him up at the airport. If we does, I'ze gonna give him so many kisses! Maybe he'll let us sleep in bed tomorrow night since we need to make the most of our time (doubtful). Momma and Poppa are going to Buffalo on Friday and return on Monday. They'ze going to watch the Chargers vs Bills. Maybe Uncle Crumley will let us watch the game from his house.

Back from Aunt Corey's

We ate lots and lots and lots. Cole came over to play for a little while too. We called Duke but his Mom didn't answer. Poppa leave for Chicago in the morning. :-( We'ze helping him pack and watching the Chargers game now. And Aunt Corey got Momma the first two seasons of Grey's Anatomy so she can watch it while Poppa is gone. Can you guess how thrilled I am????

Back from the Beach

We're back from the beach and I am so tired that I am dictating to Momma while she types cause I don't have the energy to do it myself. When we first arrived at the beach house yesterday we'ze was kinda confused. Whenever we go for a ride that long it means we are going to Grandma's but yesterday we'ze was in an unfamiliar place and it smelled different. Inside the beach house we ran from room to room looking for clues as to where we were. We still had no idea. Momma told us we was at a beach house. What's a beach house? We soon figured it out. Momma and Poppa leashed us up and took us to the beach. Apparently a beach house is a house that it located near the beach. Who would have thunk it? When we got to the beach there were a lot of people there but they all seemed real friendly and Momma and Poppa let us of our leashes and we ran into the water. Oh my!! It was wonderful. We spent over an hour in the water and Momma and Poppa even dipped their toes in too. We went home to recuperate for a while. A couple of hours later we were back at the beach. This time the beach was empty. It was great. We had the entire place to ourselves. Can you imagine having a whole beach to yourself? We ran and ran and ran forever. No need to worry about other pups or people that didn't like us. It was us, the sand, the ocean and the seagulls. And let me tell you - those seagulls are hard to sneak up on. Once we finally got to bed last night, we were out like a light! But we were early to rise this morning. We were up and on the beach by 8:30 and again the beach was pretty empty. By the time we'ze was there for a while, people started showing up but mostly with pups. We had a grand ole time making new friends. Hopefully we'll go back to the beach and see them again sometime. Momma is calling us now cause we are going to Aunt Corey's for dinner. So I am sure I will have more to tell later.

One Year Anniversary

Today marks the one year anniversary of my family and me starting our very long and drawn out journey back to the States. And while I miss all the friends that I made in Ireland, I think that I am adapting well to being a Jersey Girl - I'll always be a Western Girl at heart though. The weather is beautiful here today, it's in sunny and in the mid 70. While in Ireland it's only 59 degrees. I guess the long trek was worth it. Well I'ze got to go. Poppa is packing up the car. I think that means we're leaving for the beach soon!!!

Yard Sale

Our neighbors are having a yard sale today. Momma let us out in the yard without realizing Poppa had left the gate open. My brother and I went over to see what they had and he "acquired" us a new toy... hehehe.... uh oh... I hear Poppa, he's yelling. Gotta go!

TGIF

The weekend is finally here - thank goodness. It's been a long week. Momma and Poppa have both been working a bunch. And Poppa's been doing a lot of work on the house at night. We've still been going for our daily walks though. As a matter of fact we went for two walks yesterday because on out way back home Carley was leaving her house so we went back to the park. We'ze hadn't seen her since Saturday so it was nice to catch up for a bit. I overheard Carley's mom and my momma talking about Carley coming to visit later in the month. That'll be fun. Rumor has it that we'ze going to the beach tomorrow. I can't wait to feel the warm sun on my belly. I better go pack. I think I'm going to go with the two piece for this weekend.

Still Recovering

Lauren and Maddy were here since Friday afternoon and went home yesterday afternoon. They are lots of work. No need to worry - Momma's definitely not going to be running out and signing up to be a human's momma anytime EVER. Momma spent most of her time with L & M and Poppa spent the weekend working on the house (we'ze think it was to have a valid excuse to keep away from the girls), this left us feeling like stepchildren. On a good note they did take us for a long walk on Saturday (not distance wise it just took longer cause L&M only have two really short legs each). And we got to eat so much because these girls never finish a whole meal. It was also nice getting all these pettings but at the same time, it was hard to sleep. Could you imagine sleeping with two girls playing and chatting all the time?? I don't know how Uncle Crumley does it. It's a good thing that the girls went home yesterday too because last night my brother and I heard a noise in the middle of the night and we went berserk. We scared the daylights out of Momma and Poppa. Momma was up for 2 hours after that. We'ze just got up from a nap to make up for lost sleep.

What A Yummy weekend

Our weekend was cake filled - this is very special for us because my parents don't usually let us eat human food. First we had cake for TanTan's birthday. Then we had cake and more for Maddy's - we got to eat anything that the kids dropped and ALL the leftover cake. I'ze was in sugar heaven. Too bad every weekend isn't a birthday weekend.

I forgot to tell you

Thursday night around dusk, Momma saw a woman across the street with what she thought were two goldens that looked like me and my brother. So she ran over to the woman and met the pups which were actually a golden and a yellow lab named Stanley and Murphy. Apparently they live around the corner from us!!! Momma got their number for us so we'll have a play date soon. Meanwhile Cole was here again yesterday. We shared some of our treats with her. We'll probably see her again tomorrow when we go to Aunt Corey's.

Today

Cole came over for a while today when her parents were at work cause they were having some work done at her house. Monte and her played pretty rough out in the yard. I'ze dont like to play too rough - so I stayed with Momma. Later on we went to the park and picked up Carley and her Mom on the way. We had double the fun today. Which is a good thing because it started raining tonight and it's gonna rain through Sunday. Why does this always happen on weekends????

GO BOLTS!!

We spent the day at Aunt Corey's

Momma and Poppa went to Nascar today so they took us to Aunt Corey's in the morning. Uncle Crumley was supposed to be there waiting for us but he must have forgotten we were coming. When we got there Duke's Mom was walking him so Momma invited him in the yard. Cole was in her yard with her parents too, so we introduced Duke to our friend Cole. We all played for a while but then Duke had to go cause his Mom and Dad were going to the a football game. Momma and Poppa waited for Uncle Crumley but he wasn't showing up, so we stayed with Cole until Uncle Crumley showed up. It was a beautiful day today so Aunt Corey made us and the girls play in the yard a lot. We also watched golf with Uncle Crumley. We'ze wasn't too thrilled about that because we wanted to watch Nascar and see if we saw Momma and Poppa on tv and cheer on our fave driver - even though he didn't win. We watched the Eagles games which sucked. We don't like the Eagles!! Aunt Corey made up for the torture by taking us and Cole out for a walk. The Chargers play tomorrow - GO BOLTS!!

Just got home

not only did the kids spill tons of yummy food for us but we saw Duke! Duke is the golden that lives one block up from Aunt Corey. We first met him when he was a 9 week old little cotton ball. He's 7 months now and huge. Momma saw him while we'ze was finishing up dinner which we'ze was having on the deck in the yard because the weather has been so nice. His Mom was walking him while talking on her cell. Momma yelled out for Duke but his Mom didn't hear her so Momma chased her down. Next thing you know Momma's walking back with Duke and his Mom is walking behind them. They came into the yard and we played for a good while. We'ze gonna be over at Aunt Corey's again tomorrow when Momma and Poppa go to Nascar and Duke's Mom said she'd bring him over. And we'ze sure to see Cole too. We don't want to be away from Momma and Poppa but we'ze glad we have something to look forward too. Oh and L&M went apple picking today - we'ze love apples!!

Carley came to visit

.....last night we'ze was at home waiting for Poppa when Carley and her family stopped over to drop of some cookies and treats for us - Thanks Carley, Mr and Mrs Sharp and Caleb. Caleb had a soccer game last night so Momma suggested Carley stay here with us and play for a while. We had so much fun we ran around and wrestled for about an hour, then came inside and got a bite to eat. We were watching tv for a little while when Carley's family came to pick her up.

This morning, we'ze went to get our nails clipped and Momma bought us Halloween costumes. I haven't decided yet what I am going to be - either an angel or a witch. We'ze hasn't found a costume for Mr. Monte yet. Since getting back from the pet store we'ze spent most of the day outside doing some yardwork and with the exception of the one time that we ran down the street to meet a yellow lab, we'ze was really behaved.

Tomorrow Momma and Poppa are going to Nascar - that's my favorite sport. We'ze gonna stay at Aunt Corey's cause Poppa said the cars are much louder in real life than they are on tv and we'ze get kinda scared by loud noises.

Off to Aunt Corey's for dinner in a while - bye.

Stuff

Poppa is home again - yippee. While he was away yesterday Momma took us for TWO walks in the parks. The first time we went we saw Cooper and Chip. Chip's fur has highlights in it from the sun - she looks really nice. And Cooper's parent's are away so he's staying at his sitter's house. The second time we went with Carley. We thinks she's getting her licker under control. We only went for one walk today but that's okay cause we played a ton and saw Cooper again. Uncle Gimme is back tomorrow - we'ze excited about getting pettings from him. Our sunroom is almost done. Poppa still needs to do the electrical and the tile work but we've been spending a ton of time in there already. Tomorrow we're gonna ask Uncle Gimme to build us steps so that Monte can go in and out to the yard through the sunoom. He's got trouble jumping up into the sumroom cause of his hippies. I'ze okay though - I'ze got a spring in my step.

Poppa came home and left again.

Poppa finally got home very late on Friday night and we pretty much went straight to bed. Now he's gone again but he will be home again really, really late tomorrow night after we've already gone to bed and I have my toes crossed that maybe he won't travel for a while. We had a lazy day at home yesterday since Poppa just wanted to relax after being gone all week. He made some of his home made pizza which I love and we had icy cream and watched a movie. He left pretty early today but before going, him and Momma took us to the park where we played with Winnie and Rocky. We met a new dog named Diohgi (pronounced D-O-G). Pretty cool. It turns out that he actually only lives down the block from us so maybe we'll be playing with him more often. We also played with Buddy, one of our Golden Retriever friends. Tonight we went over to Uncle Crumley's for dinner. Aunt Corey is away and we know that he usually sneaks us table food so we were all for it. Unfortunately he made mac n cheese and said he thought it was to cheesy for us this time. We still ate anything the girls dropped though. And we got to play with Cole which made it even better. Cole's dad said that Cole may come over one day this week. We can't wait!

Poppa finally comes home tomorrow.

Don't ask me why but it seems like Poppa has been gone forever. I wonder if I will recognize him when I see him. When I talked to him today he said that if I don't remember what he looks like I should look at all the pictures of him around the house. The thing is I'ze never seen any pictures around the house. So I asked Momma about it and she pointed them out. Well no wonder I'ze never seen them, they'ze way up on the wall nowhere near my line of vision. I told Momma that wasn't very fair. So Momma put a pic on the lower shelf of her bookshelf for me. It's a pic of me and my brother with Poppa on the beach in Ireland. For those of you that don't know - yes there is a beach in Ireland - it's an island silly! We'ze just got back from the park and I am heading to bed as soon as I am done blogging. We'ze tuckered out. We played with Carley, Abby, Lady, Sandy and we met a new pup name Lola. Carley's human brother Kaleb was there also and he gave us lots of hugs and played with us. We'ze like him. Good Night.

Day Three

Day 3 without Poppa. We miss him a ton and Momma's not letting us get away with anything. We much more prefer it when she's away and he's here with us. The first night he was away, I ran upstairs at bedtime and jumped up in bed. Momma kicked me out! Why? Look at all that room. But she stuck to her guns and was a meanie and we had to sleep in our own beds next to hers. Then yesterday it poured here for a while but once the rain let up she took us to the park. We saw Cooper and found out that our friend Chip is back from her stay at the shore for the summer. We can't wait to see her. Bet she's got a great tan.

Woofstock

We'ze went to Woofstock today. We'ze had fun but we don't do so well when there is a lot of people and commotion around us and we need to be leashed. We stayed for a while but were just as happy when Momma and Poppa said it was time to go. There were a ton of pups there and as soon as we got there two pups started barking at Monte and that set him off... it was smackdown time. Our parents made sure to keep us apart the rest of the time we were there. We saw three horses there. Poppa says they were Great Danes but I'ze pretty sure they were ponies. Seriously they were so tall that they're heads reached Momma's chest. The best thing about Woofstock is that we saw our friend Kobe there. He wasn't too thrilled to be leashed either. Tomorrow Poppa is back in Chicago for a week. Maybe he'll bring something good back with him.

Happy Birthday Lauren

Lauren's birthday was actually yesterday but Momma was on the computer all day so I didn't have a chance to write. In honor of Lauren's birthday we'ze all went over to Lauren's house for some ice cream cake - it was so delicious - I never knew my favorite food came in the form of a cake. That's definitely the kind of cake I want for my birthday. The Willison's were there also and Larissa just loves us. It was utter chaos there last night. Five kids, three dogs and a cat. Finally all the kids either went to bed or home and Aunt Corey and Momma took us and Cole for a walk. I hadn't been for a walk in the dark since my Ireland days. Today we're preparing for the tropical storm were supposed to get. It hasn't started raining yet but it is very humid and warm out. My fur is out of control. I am totally frizzy. Good thing I don't have any important public appearance that I need to make today. Later on today Momma needs to go to Lauren's official birthday party. There will be 16 kids there. We'ze aren't going cause we'd go nuts. Momma doesn't really ever drink but she's considering a few shots before she heads over.... the only problem is she'd need a ride and Poppa has vowed not to go anywhere near that house today. We'ze kinda sad about not going though because with all those kids there is great potential for dropped food.

Labor Day

Poppa is home with us today and we'ze will be demanding lovins and attention all day (once he gets out of bed). We're hoping for a lazy day at home today since we've already had our fill of excitement. Momma took us to the park really early this morning. She figured since it was a holiday and it was so early no one would be out. Boy was she wrong. Anyway, we met up with Carley while we were there and we'ze was playing and minding our business when a woman came by. Carley loves to meet new people and ran up to her. The woman didn't take to Carley very much - how that's possible I don't know cause other than all the kisses Carley gives, she's swell. Well to make a long story short the woman had a few choice words for us and if you know my Momma you know she doesn't just stand for that. It was on. Luckily Carley's mom was much more level headed than my Momma otherwise we'd be bailing her out of jail right now. Luckily it was just the two of us with Momma this morning cause Cole's dad picked her up on Saturday. We kinda miss having a third wheel around. And I'ze want her to come back real soon cause her Momma sent some yummy food over with Cole. Cousin Kitty is still here. We think she's going home later today. Once she leaves it will be quiet for a while. We'ze won't have to listen to her and Sporkie hiss at each other anymore. Kitty has commandeered the living room and whenever Sporkie walks in or just through Kitty hisses at her and like Momma, Sporkie won't just take it. I think she walks through the living room more when Kitty is her than any other time just to get on her nerves.

The Fun Has Resumed

Yesterday, Momma loaded me and Monte into the car but would tell us where we were going. Turns out we were going to Cole's house to pick her up. We'ze was so excited. And Cole was ecstatic when her Momma opened the door and she saw us waiting in the car. Momma walked up the sidewalk to Cole and Cole jumped up on her back legs and gave Momma a big hug and kiss. Us big puppies have a harder time doing that. Cole's a little girl. We'ze been having tons of fun and causing lots of trouble. (we've been doing this on purpose so Momma won't dream of getting another pup). Momma's taken us all to the park and we've intentionally all gone in different directions to see how far Momma's arms can stretch. Unfortunately she's not Gumby. We've also been encouraging Cole's bad behavior. We've been betting milk bones that she won't do stuff like eat tissues out of the trash and jump in bed. We've also convinces Cole that none of the FIVE puppy beds in the house are suitable for her. So she's taken the bed in the spare bedroom. Momma and Poppa were not pleased. Us pups aren't allowed on furniture so that our kitty siblings have a place to lay where they won't get our hair on them. We don't always agree with it but we understand. We get privileges the kitties don't. Like we'ze get to go in the yard all the time, to the park, to Aunt Corey's and Grandma's and Momma takes us for car rides all the time when she runs errands. Poppa can't do this because he drives a clown car. Anyway, I digress. As for Cole sleeping in the spare bedroom, it appears that laying on the bed didn't suffice. From the looks of the comforter it appears that she tucked herself in too.... hehehe. And some more good news, Aunt Corey just called that she's going away this weekend and Kitty's coming over.

everyone's gone

Friday morning Carley came over. We had so much fun. We played ALL day. She kept giving us and Momma kisses. I think it's her way of thanking us for having her over. When the icy cream truck came Momma got a cone for Carley too. She'd never has icy creams before but she sure did love it!!! Later in the day we went for a long run to the park and got soaking we in the creek. After the creek, Momma and Poppa went to someplace where they got us green apples. Yummy. Cousin Kitty came over on Friday also. Carley likes kitties but Kitty, Sporkie and Tanner all hissed at her at some point so she tried to steer clear of them. At night we all slept together in our beds. Momma brought Carley's bed over but Carley preferred to sleep with us which was fine but I put my paw down and said no giving kisses at night - I'ze needs my beauty sleep. By the time that Carley's parents came to pick her up on Saturday we were exhausted and slept most of the day. We did play outside for a while with Momma and Poppa though. At night we got to experience a little taste of Jersey. Momma gave us some Italian Ice. It was good but I got major brain freeze. Kitty went home yesterday and now everyone is gone. We have no friends to play with. Momma and Poppa took us for a walk to cheer us up and then went out and returned with a new toys for us. But we won't be alone for long. Cole is coming over on Wednesday and will be here til Saturday - yea!! And t his weekend is Labor Day weekend which means that Poppa will be home and able to play with us for 3 days in a row. Also yesterday, Sporkie got her first batch of catnip from the garden. Apparently she likes it a lot because she's been taking hits constantly. She's pretty funny when she's high cause she rolls around and meows, then she passes out. hehehe.

SLUMBER PARTY

We've had a fantastic night tonight. We played with Scout, Cooper, Pasta (I'ze always think of Rosa when I see Pasta) and Carly. We'ze had so much fun playing today. But we have super exciting news. First, Cousin Kitty will be visiting us this weekend.... yea! Second as we were walking to to the park tonight, Carly's parents were walking over to our house. Apparently they are going to their son's college tomorrow and aren't back til Saturday morning. They'ze was wondering if we could go over and check on Carly and maybe walk her. Of course we can - not only is we going to walk her, we're just gonna have her stay with us. How exciting is that? Two friends sleeping over at once. And Cole comes over on Wednesday til Saturday. And Cousin Kitty may be over next weekend too. How cool is that!!! We'ze love having friends over!!!

Monday

We'ze had so much fun yesterday that I was exhausted when I got home from the park and couldn't write. First - Monte and I have met a lot of new pups via Dogster. Unfortunately none of them live close by. We found 13 pups that live in our neighborhood but many of them are small pups. We found a lab named Sage and sent her and email - we haven't heard back yet. - I'ze will keep you posted. We went to the park right after Momma got home from the gym yesterday. Normally, the mosquitos bite Momma pretty bad and she deals with it for as long as she can before we have to come home. Last night she wore bug spray. And while we know it's not healthy - we love her for it. We'ze were out there for about 2 hours. First we played with Kobe for a good while, then we walked around for a while, met some new people and went for a swim. On our way home we saw Carly again and we stopped to talk to her parents for a while. Carly got a haircut and I think she looks very pretty and it accentates her slim. I am pretty jealous of here size 2 figure. She definitely doesn't have junk in the trunk like I do. Carly can't seem to control her licker however - lick, lick, lick, lick, lick. I get tired just watching her. I think Monte and I got about 1,000 kisses from her yesterday and she would have kept going if we hadn't decided that we wanted dinner and pulled Momma and made her sprint home.

Just Got Back From Aunt Corey's

We played with Cole and Rocky for a little while. Poppa let us have left over green beans at dinner time. I hate them!!!! Monte ate them all - yuck!!! We love going over there because Maddy gives us lots of love. Now we're home and will be heading to bed soon. Uncle Gimme will be back tomorrow and maybe he'll have the deck complete in the next few days!! Yea!!

Poppa comes home tonight

we can't wait - we've missed him so much. Our neighbors know of 4 little puppies (2 yellow and 2 black) that need a home. Momma was going to bring them home but Poppa doesn't think she's insane. Momma would also be willing to upgrade to a minivan to cart us all around. And she'd get one of those belts that you can attach leashes to and take all of us to the park together.

We'ze was at the park last night, having a good time, playing with other puppas when this little yellow lab puppy jumped on my Momma. WTF? I'ze not having any of that. I showed that snarl my Momma loves so much and told that puppy I'd have her for a snack if she didn't back off. See who says Goldens can't be guard dogs?

An Action Packed Weekend

On Friday night Momma and Poppa took us for what was supposed to be a short stroll through the park before going to the ice cream parlor and then they were heading to dinner and a movie. However, once we got to the park we met up with so many friends we ended up there for a couple of hours. We played with 3 other Goldens! Momma's convinced now that my future siblings need to be Goldens too. By the time we left the park, went to to the ice cream parlor and came back home it was after eight and Poppa was exhausted. Mission Accomplished. They didn't go out after all and we had them all to ourselves for the rest of the night. On Saturday night, Poppa's friends came over. We'ze never met them before. We really liked Aileen. We're not sure about Joe though. He's allergic to cats and we were once told that you should never trust people that are allergic to cats. Although Uncle Darth is allergic to us also and he's cool. We'll have to spend more time with Joe before we make a decision. Maybe is he brings his pups over to play the next time he comes over, we'll be sold on him. We also decided that since Kitty was here it would be a good time to celebrate Sporkie's birthday since we weren't able to on the actual day of because Poppa was on his diet. So we all had pink cupcakes. I love birthday - even more I love the cakes/sweets that come along with birthdays!! The weekend is winding down now. We slept in this morning and then Momma did some yardwork. Cousin Kitty will go home later tonight and Poppa will leave for the week tomorrow. The house will be quiet with just the five of us. Luckily Uncle Gimme will be here during the week to offer us lovins. Our deck should be done this week!! How exciting.

Home at Last

Aunt Corey dropped us off at home last night. A few hours later Momma and Poppa came home. They came home very late - almost 1AM. And we smothered them with kisses. Monte even through Poppa to the ground and pinned him til he had enough. Momma and Poppa said they had a really good time on their trip - we stayed up til about 2AM talking about it and gettin lovins'. Momma went to a program when she was in the Grand Canyon about bats and she learned a lot about them. Apparently bats live every where in the world except Antarctica and they play a very important role in our lives. You can even adopt a bat and the bat will write you a letter and send you a pic. We may do that. Here's some info. http://batcon.org/home/default.asp Sporkie and Tanner were happy to see Momma and Poppa too - Sporkie started screaming at the top of her lungs to be pet. Momma returned the affection by later locking her in the laundry room only to be awoken at 3AM by her screams. Sporkie says she'll let this one pass as she understands that It was late and Momma was tired. Uncle Gimme has been working on the deck. However there was a really bad storm on Saturday and the temporary supports didn't hold. Luckily the deck is fine, it just needs to be raised again and have the permanent supports put on. Uncle Gimme was also telling us the other day that he found a little sick hummingbird. We'ze not sure we believe him cause we'ze hasn't seen any. We'ze gonna refill our feeder again tomorrow.

Today's The Day!

Momma and Poppa are coming home today! We'ze so excited, we can't wait to see them! We just got icy cream from the truck, unfortunately there was a long line and we had to wait a while, but it was worth it! Aunt Corey was away yesterday, we don't understand why she didn't bring us because she smelled like dog when she got home so we know there was a dog there. (Hi Abby!) Uncle Crumley is not so great with remembering to take care of us so Brad took us out for a while yesterday. Aunt Ethel next door saw him bringing us back and thought it was the strangest thing she's seen! Luckily Lauren & Maddy like to let us out a lot, and Aunt Corey took us for a walk as soon as she got back this morning. Nothing much else going on, just walking & playing with Cole, trying not to get caught on the couch and hoping they drop food. We can't wait to go home tonight and see how our deck is looking - Aunt Corey thinks Uncle Gimme might have been there yesterday - A Saturday?? - and the a/c guy was there Friday night so we have high hopes for a cool house with a fun deck soon!

Our visit so far...

Things have been pretty quiet around here so far. Yesterday Aunt Corey was VERY late getting us, but we were happy to see her when she FINALLY showed up. We played outside with Cole for a little while, and then, just to make Momma feel bad, I puked up some grass. Later that night Aunt Corey went home and got our beds, then got dressed up really strange and went outside and made us stay inside. She said something about a hornets nest bigger then our heads... but she made up for it by taking us for a walk when Uncle Crumley got home. This morning we were alone for a while, then they came home and brought friends with them! Unfortunately, they didn't spill much lunch. We just hung out while they played and then I just went outside and puked some more grass. Aunt Corey was giving the girls a bath and didn't hear the icy cream truck until it had already passed - I showed her! Now we are watching High School Musical - wow, those people are strange! We hear pasta is for dinner... maybe they will drop some meatballs! Aunt Corey heard from Momma - the Grand Canyon is a go! Poppa did it! Way to go Poppa - hope you enjoyed your Pizza Hut for lunch! PS - Bad news! Momma helped Aunt Corey pick out new slip covers and it is now very clear to Aunt Corey that SOMEONE has been up on the couch...

Momma and Poppa went out today right around the time that the icy cream truck came. I was very unhappy about this. How could they make plans without taking into account the icy cream schedule? Luckily the ice cream truck was over an hour late today and as Momma stepped out of the car she heard the music. We'ze so glad we didn't miss it because this heat is really wiping us out. We'ze went to Aunt Corey's last night and played with Cole for a little while. Cole's Momma told Momma that she and Cole's Poppa are going to go away for a weekend in August and Cole is going to stay with us. How exciting! We'd like it if they went away every weekend!! Also Aunt Corey is going away a bunch in August. Maybe Kitty will be here the same weekend as Cole. I'm not to sure how I feel about that. There would be six of us kids. Momma and Poppa don't have that many hands! Oh well, as long as I get constant pettins' they can rotate through the other kids with their spare hand.

We BabySat Again Tonight

We went over to L&M's house again tonight. Momma and L&M made pretzels. We love Lauren cause she told Momma that she had to make each of us one too! Thanks Lauren.

After dinner, Momma put L&M to bed and came back downstairs.

Monte was checking out if the goggles really were waterproof by wearing them and sticking his head in our water bowl. Apparently the goggles don't stick to your face too good when you have lots of fur like we'ze do.

Later on in the night I thought I heard a noise upstairs so I went to patrol. Fortunatly the coast was clear. But while I was checking on Lauren I looked at her in bed and she looked so comfy - I just had to join her for a spell.

Guess Who Had TWO Icy Creams Yesterday???

We did. First the icy cream truck came by our house and Momma got us one. Later on when after Momma picked up Lauren and Maddy we went to their house. As we were pulling up the icy cream truck was driving up. Momma couldn't get one for L & M and not for us. We'ze wouldn't understand (or we'd pretend we didn't anyway). So she got us another one. She got one for Cole too. While we were at L & M's house, Cole came over to play. Her and Monte chased each other around the yard for a long time. Monte was exhausted when we got home last night and went straight to sleep. We're going to babysit on Thursday again. We're gonna make pretzels that day. Yummy! I can't wait.

Sunday

Cole's Momma and Poppa picked her up yesterday. We had fun. We hope she comes back soon. After Cole left Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner. We BBQ'd but unfortunately no one dropped any food on the floor for us. :-(. After they left Poppa and Momma took us the the park. We had a nice time and played with a few of new pups we've never met before. Today it feels like we're in Ireland cause it's rainy and gloomy. However, unlike Ireland is very hot and sticky. Later today we're babysitting Lauren and Maddy. Hopefully we'll see Cole again too!

We're having a sleepover

Cole has been here since this morning and she's staying til tomorrow. We'ze having so much fun!! Except Cole is a little brown noser and is constantly on Momma's heels. Other than that we'ze like having her around. While the Momma and Poppa were busy today Cole and Sporkie had some words. I think Sporkie made it very clear that she is the Queen Bee cause Momma picked up Sporkie earlier to show her Cole and as Momma was walking over with Sporkie, Cole ran away. Although who knows, Sporkie may have been setting Cole straight after Cole chased Tanner and scared the daylights out of him soon after getting here today. This afternoon Aunt Corey came over this afternoon with Maddy and along with Momma all the puppas went for a walk to the park. It was so much fun! We'ze heading to bed now. We'ze not sure what the rules are at Cole's house but at our house we each have our own beds. Luckily we've got a third for when we have a friends sleepover - Cole is going to use that one. We wonder is Cole is going to try to climb in bed with Momma and Poppa tonight. She tried to climb on the couch earlier but Momma kicked her off. hehe. She'll learn soon enough.

4th of July Weekend

We had a great time this weekend. Poppa stayed home with us on Friday because it was the 4th of July. We love having him home. On Saturday we went to Aunt Corey's for a BBQ - that was great fun because our friends Rocky and Cole came over. Aunt Corey had a pool out for the kids to play in but Rocky had a different idea (pic to follow). Rocky decided he was going to hang out in the pool. We all had a great time. And Uncle Crumley gave us food. I think I ate mine too fast because I got a little sick but I rebounded quickly and continued to scour the grounds for any food the kids may have dropped. We were there very late and Poppa didn't get up until after 1pm today. Also Kitty had a sleepover at our house last night. That was fun although am pretty sure we like her better than she likes us. She yells at us a lot!! Unfortunately the weather hadn't been great so we haven't been going to the park. Hopefully it'll clear up soon and we can resume our daily outings. I'm heading to bed now. I am very tired after my late night last night. I didn't get to sleep in as late as Poppa this morning.

Happy 4th of July

It's been rainy all day here today which kinda sucks cause it's been really nice all week.

Here is the view from Momma's office window today. The parade went right by our house and Poppa didn't have to work since it's a holiday here. We'ze all tried to sit out on the front porch but Monte got scared and went back inside and climbed on the couch to watch it out the window. He doesn't like loud noises and commotion - he's not brave like me.

And tonight Momma and Poppa were going to take us for a walk but as soon as we walked outside Monte heard fireworks and decided he was going nowhere but back inside.

we had a wonderful walk tonight

Momma took us to the park. On the way there we met an extremely well behaved yellow lab named Scout. His Poppa walks him without a leash and when Scout saw us he didn't cross the street to come play. His Poppa says he knows better than that. Turns out he lives one street up from us. Momma and his Poppa talked for a while and Momma found out that Scout's next door neighbors is a golden retriever named Sunshine. I can't say that I truly believed that I was the one and only Sunshine but I would have never thought that there would have been another one so close to me!! I can't say that I am happy about this. I'ze thinks that I might have to go over there and set that dog straight!! After a while, Scout and us parted ways and we headed to the park where we met two St. Bernards - they'ze was huge!!! We played for a little while and continued on our walk and we ran into Scout again. We walked all around the park together and on the way home Momma decided not to put us back on the leash to see how we'd do. Bad idea. First house I saw I'ze ran up to their front door - hehehe. Momma yelled and then I tried to run into their yard. Momma was not pleased and back on the leash we went. All in all we had a great time though and hopefully we'll see Scout again soon.

Our Weekend

We'ze had a good weekend. Poppa went to play poker at his friend's house on Friday night and didn't get home it; 1:30 AM so we had Momma to ourselves. Uncle Gimme and Bob finished up one of the bedrooms so we started to paint on Friday. We'ze got up early on Saturday cause Momma and Poppa were going up to North Jersey. The stopped at IKEA and Momma bought us a teddy bear. We named her Ginger. Uncle Crumley made dinner for us on Saturday night so we went over there. But the best day of the weekend was Sunday. Momma and Poppa spent the day painting and pulling up the rug in the bedroom. Momma had to run out to Home Depot for some paint and she took me!!! I'ze hadn't been there since I was a a little puppa and lived there in Reno. Monte didn't come with us because he was laying out in the yard working on his tan so he can be a real Golden Retriever like me :-). And then later that evening Momma and Poppa took us to the park where we played with our friend Carlie for a while. We had so much fun. We played in the water and the three us of us ganged up on some little kick dog... hehehe. BIG DOGS RULE! Uncle Gimme and Bob were here this morning again. I love my Uncle Gimme. He gives good pettings. Poppa leaves for Chicago tomorrow night but he'll be back for the 4th of July festivities. The parade will come right by out house so we can watch it from our window - Yippee.

Cole spent the day with us today

Our day started with an email from Aunt Corey confirming that Cole would be here today. As I stood next to Momma's laptop and read the email my tailywag wouldn't stop. Finally after what seemed like ages but was only like an hour Aunt Corey brought Cole over. We all ran straight into the yard to that Cole could check it all out and start marking her territory. We ran around the yard for a very long time before we decided that we were too hot and wanted to come inside. When we did Cole was a kiss ass and followed Momma around the house everywhere she went - she even tried to walk into the bathroom with her. When Cole wasn't busy following Momma around she was hanging out with Bob and Uncle Gimme who were busy building and arch in the dining room for Momma - Cole says their workmanship got her stamp of approval and the rest of us agree - it looks really good - Uncle Gimme really knows what he's doing. We all spent quite a bit of time in Momma's office laying around on the cool floor while Momma worked. The best part of the day was the icy cream truck of course. Momma bought a cone for each of us.
