So we just got back from the park

We were there for a a very long time. We saw Amber, a new dog named Lady (now we have two friends named Lady) and two other pups we met over the summer and hadn't seen since, Tessa and Sophie. You'll never believe what happened while we were there. I found a piece of breaded chicken on a branch up in a tree. My sniffer must have been working overtime because I refused to walk away from that tree. I even tried to climb it but couldn't - darn - I wish I was a squirrel, other than that dogs would chase me all the time. I even tried to climb up on Monte but still couldn't reach. Momma had to come back for me and check out the tree for herself cause she did not believe me!!! We saw Carley's dad on out way home and played chase with the neighbor girls too.

A weekend of friends

Momma took us to the park yesterday. It was a sunny day and the park was full of people and pups. We must have seen about 13 other pups, some that we'd never met before. Half way through our walk we met up with Cooper and Chip. They'ze two of our best friends. We had a really nice walk back. All of our parents had treats in their pockets and we ran back and forth between all the adults gettin' treats for the entire walk. Cooper and Monte really could be twins. The water in the creak was higher than usual yesterday and we went for wonderful swims. We'ze all got home soakin' wet. This morning it was Poppa's turn to take us to the park. It was raining out - it was like our walks in Dublin. We met up with Carley and played for a little bit before she had to go home. And again this morning returned home soakin' wet. We're getting ready to watch Nascar soon. I hear Momma calling to put our bandanas on.

It's been a quiet week

Nothing much to report this week. We got our monthly frontline and heartworm medication yesterday. And we've been going to the park everyday except yesterday because it was raining. Poppa said it even snowed at his job. When we went today it was very windy and there were some really mean looking clouds in the sky. Momma said it was safe though because she checked the weather before we left and no rain was expected. I'm not quite sure what it was but something was falling out of the sky by the time we'ze came home though. Kinda like a hail/snow mix but it was extremely light and only lasted a couple of minutes. Today at the park we played with our friend Sandy. She's looking good. She looked like she'd just had a grooming and was wearing a new bandana. And on our walk back we saw a 6 month old Golden puppy. He was one big fuzz ball and looked like Monte when he was a puppy. We'ze really looking forward to hanging out with Poppa this weekend. We thought that L&M were coming over to play with us on Saturday but Momma found out last night they're not. We'ze will have to reschedule for some time soon.

4 Years Today.

It's hard to believe that four years ago today, I came home to live with my Momma and Poppa and my sister and brother, Sporkie and Tanner. I don't rememnber all of it cause I was just a little baby, less than 6 weeks old. But I'ze seen pics and I was damn cute. Momma brought me home in a wicker basket that I would never fit in today. I was so little! Poppa fell in love with me at first sight. How couldn't he? Who would have imagined the adventures that were ahead. Bringing my brother and best friend home, moving to Ireland, moving to Jersey, living in all these different house and making all these friends, going to the beach. I'ze really do have a charmed life.

This wonderful weather

The weather this weekend was beyond nice. There's no way we're having another six weeks of winter. It was in the low 60's today which is prime spring weather and all the little birdies were out dancing around and singing their songs. It was the first day this year where we opened up all the windows and the front door. Momma and Poppa took us to the park today and we had a very long walk. We walked all the way around Audubon Lake and met many new friends including a German Shepard named Nina who lives right around the block from us. We found out she's a rescue dog and about 2 years old. Poor puppy is scared of everything and everyone including other pups. Momma told her Poppa that she can come and play at our house anytime to help her get accustomed to other pups. Maybe we'll even introduce her to Sporkie. Anyway because of all the snow last week and the really warm weather this weekend all the snow has melted and created huge amounts of mud. The parks is especially muddy and I enjoyed my muddin' today. Except when I jumped into one part of the creek where the mud was really deep. I was terrified. I had a really hard time getting out and Poppa almost had to jump in and help me. I was completely brown on my bottom half including my tail. Momma didn't know what to do cause she didn't want me going in the house that dirty. So she encouraged me to go swimming by throwing treats in the clean water part of the creek. After my scare I wasn't having any other that. Other than that we had a quiet weekend at home which I really enjoyed. It was nice having Poppa around since he's been working so much lately.

walkin in a winter wonderland

When we woke up this morning there was snow everywhere. I haven't seen snow like this since we lived in Reno. Momma let us out and we played in the yard for like an hour before we came back inside. It was a gorgeous day today - it was white with snow everywhere and the sun was shining bright. When Momma got done working this afternoon she took us to the park. It was beautiful. There were some kids there sledding on the hills but in the woods there was no one. All you heard was the creek and the birds. Monte and I walked around very slowly and looked and sniffed everything as if it was all new and unchartered territory. We nearly froze our paws off but it was well worth it. When we got home we had tiny little snowballs that had formed between our toes and Momma melted them with a warm towel. That felt so nice. It was like getting a pedicure. It's supposed to be cold again tomorrow so we hope the snow will be here to stay for a while.

Playing in the snow

We had so much fun tonight! We just got back in from playing outside with Momma and Poppa. It was so much fun! Momma and Poppa made snowballs and threw them for us. I'ze getting really good at catching them in my mouth. This has been one of our fave nights since we'ze been living in Jersey.

Roller Coaster Weather

We've been having some roller coaster weather around here. It's been freezing this last week but today was comparatively warm - I even considered wearing flip flops today for my walk to the park with Momma and Poppa. And now later this week it supposed to below freezing again. It's Groundhog Day tomorrow and I'ze really hoping that Phil doesn't see his shadow cause if he does we'ze still gonna have another six weeks of winter and I'ze really looking forward to spring. We'ze had a busy day today. We got out nails trimmed this morning which is never fun for us but we got lots of treats as a reward. This afternoon we watched the PuppyBowl. It was excellent and the half time Kitty Show was out of this world. We even Tivo'd it for whenever we feel like watching it again. Now we're sitting here watching the SuperBowl and I'ze routing for the Cardinals cause I have some cardinal friends that come in our yard to play. So far the commercials are really bad! If they don't get better soon there will no longer be a point to watching this.
