It's so hot!

It's so hot and muggy. We'ze can't stand it. We can't wait to go to grandma's cause she aways has the AC on unlike Momma who likes these temps. We'ze hasn't been in the pool today b/c it's been raining this afternoon. We got a huge thunder storm and we'ze was under a tornado watch. No tornadoes though! Darn. We'd love to be tornado chasers. And it seems that after the rain it's just gotten muggier. Yuck. The icy cream truck came today while it was pouring out and Momma got us icy cream and got herself soaked all at the same time. Thanks Momma. Kitty is still here and she seems to be having a nice time except for when Momma is giving her her meds. She was just rolling around in the living room and looking all cute. I'ze think she was doing that so that Monte would go play with her and she could smack him around a bit. The kitties got their nails clipped today and since Kitty was here Momma clipped hers too. Poppa just got done packing because he leaves for Florida tomorrow. We miss him already. :-( Poppa is making homemade pizza for dinner, we hope he drops some.

look who's here!!

Cousin Kitty arrive this afternoon. We'ze gonna be lookin' after her while Aunt Corey's away. Kitty quickly made herself at home on the lounge. Momma is thrilled about that because it mean my brother won't jump on it. Monte's not so happy. He keeps sayin' "How'z I supposed to guard the house if I can't see what's going on outside?". Sporkie was sleeping when Kitty arrived. When Sporkie finally woke up and came into the living room she was in for an unpleasant surprise. Kitty started screaming at her right away. Momma broke them up before we had a repeat of the WWE match that took place the last time Kitty visited. And Poppa is oblivious because he was in the same room with Kitty for about 5 minutes when he looked at Momma and asked her when Kitty would be arriving. Duh Poppa!! Kitty is sitting 5 feet away from you! Momma just gave Kitty her meds. Kitty is pretty mad, hiding under the futon and growling at anyone that walks by.

YEA!! Momma and Poppa are back

We are so happy that they are back. We smothered them with kisses when they'ze walked in the door. And they just took us to the park so that we could catch up with all our friends we haven't seen in a week. That was so exciting. And we even made a new friend - Scout the chocolate lab. We'ze just got home a little while ago and we are soaked from swimming in the creek. We'ze heard that cousin Kitty is coming to stay with us this weekend. That'll be nice. Sporkie and her can catch up and try some new wrestling moves. And Poppa was just talking to Grandma about how we are going to visit her for a few days next week. We'ze hope Uncle Gimme walks us a bunch. We'ze heading to bed soon cause we'ze tuckered from our long outing and Momma and Poppa is exhauseted. THANKS AUNT COREY FOR WATCHING AFTER US.

Summer Is Here!

Today started out slow - they left us again in the morning - apparently the place they went to pick strawberries had signs that said "No Dogs Allowed" - we can't understand why! But when they got back, Cole came over! We spent some time cleaning up after their lunch on the deck, then laid low in the heat until Uncle Crumley brought out this big blue thing. Next thing you know, Aunt Corey was putting water in it and the girls were splashing around. I tried it, but Sunny & Cole wanted nothing to do with it! Then the Willisons came over, and there were lots of kids, so we just watched. Uncle Crumley cooked too many burgers, so GUESS WHAT! WE GOT SOME! We even shared with Cole. Aunt Corey just brought her home when she saw that Lindsay was there (Lindsay said she's reading the blog - I'll be she likes my posts better then Sunny's!!!). Now we are on the deck with Uncle Crumley, eating up ice cubes from where he dumped the cooler. Should be time for our evening walk soon - we can't wait!!!

Life is Good!

Another great day for me & Sunny! They all got dressed up this morning and left us to go to some church place, but when they got back they brought Cole over for the WHOLE afternoon! Aunt Corey sat in the shade and read while the other 7 of us took naps. We did wake up to bark at Champ though. She brought Cole home when she seemed to be standing near the gate a lot, but as soon as she went home she was barking to come back. Lauren is our new best friend because when Uncle Crumley took her to the icy cream truck, she told him that we needed to get some too! Aunt Corey walked us to the truck and the girl driving the truck was pretty amazed at how fast we ate our cones! Then all three of us took Lauren & Maddy for a walk. We got a lot of funny looks, the three of us pulling Aunt Corey with Uncle Crumley pushing the double stroller. But it was great fun. We just ate dinner, and now we're playing with Cole again. Rumor has it that Uncle Scott is going to take us for our bedtime walk tonight because Aunt Corey is going to bed in a few minutes herself. Only 3 more days until Momma & Poppa come back - it's supposed to be 82 tomorrow, maybe Aunt Corey will get out the pool!

The Fun Never Ends!

First, a word from Lauren: hgghhyujujjjjddzvb nnvnnn n n jjjhhbgbgfjnjhgtutyhgruijhuhhfhyhy777jfgjgjjhnjgfggg jhfbhbhfjmkbnchbhbhhhjhbbhhjhjhjhjhbhythg So yesterday morning started out nice and calm - we hung around the house for a while, then Uncle Crumley mowed the yard! We did not like that so much. Luckily, Lauren & Maddy are getting really good at letting us in and out and in and out and in and out... we are pretty sure that Aunt Corey is yelling at them and not us when she says "stop opening the door". They they left us a for a little while to go to some thing called a Mayfair in Collingswood. But guess what? Apparently they had gourmet dog foods booths there and Lauren brough us each a little doggie pizza back! It was so yummy! Then we played with Cole again, then Aunt Corey put us in the big black truck again and brought us home. We think Uncle Brad got his times confused because we thought it was 2:05 when we got home, and his note said 2:15 and he wasn't supposed to come until 6, but we're dogs - we may not be so good at reading the clock! Then Aunt Corey came to get us last night, and Cole came over & the three of us spent a really long time scouring the backyard in the dark to clean up all of the food that the people had dropped during the party. Now today is a new day - we were excited that Lauren woke up at 6am because that means we got to go out and finish cleaning the backyard! Cole's mom & dad are going to go out on their boat today, so we are going to have a super big playdate - we can't wait! Gotta run - Sunny is sitting here making funny noises - I think she wants Aunt Corey to give us breakfast.

Another Great Day!

More from Monte... We had another great day at Aunt Corey's house! She's a little crazy and goes walking with her friend Dani at 5:45am, but that was a perfect time for us. I did some great poops, one someone's front lawn, driveway, etc. and Aunt Corey did the best she could, but it wasn't so good. Hopefully they don't get up early & look out their windows! Then we helped Uncle Scott make bacon for breakfast - unfortunately they were pretty skimpy with dropping that. We had a great time in the backyard, Cole & Rocky were out at the same time! Then we had the house to ourselves for a little while so we could rest up. And then they came back - and when I say they, I mean Aunt Corey and SIX KIDS! We spent the whole afternoon in the backyard with them. I keep trying to climb the slide, but it's not working yet. After some of the kids left Cole came over to play and Champ visited the fence too. We've decided we really like that Mrs. Willison lady - she tries so hard to be nice to us that she doesn't even complain when we sit next to her every time! And then Uncle Crumley came home from work early, and you know what that means - ICY CREAM!!! Aunt Ethel had some so she brought it over and Aunt Corey fed all three of us off the spoon that Aunt Ethel gave us. Those kids had sprinkles on theirs, but we're not complaining because Aunt Corey was VERY generous. Then we took the kids for a walk around the block, met a new golden retriever in the neighborhood and hung out on Cole's front porch with her. Aunt Corey just took us for our bedtime walk - hopefully she will remember to give us our bones since Uncle Crumley forgot last night. We're looking forward to tomorrow - we're going to see Brad again!!! Oh yeah - we miss you Momma & Poppa!

Monte's Posting This Dear Momma and Poppa, all is well here in New Jersey! We are having a great time at Aunt Corey's house - there are lots of kids here and they drop TONS of food! Yesterday afternoon Cole came over to play. Then last night Aunt Corey had her friends over and they dropped food AND pet us a bunch! This morning we walked all the way from her house to ours - and I even pooped along the way - hehe! Then I ate the new food she tried to sneak Sporkie since Tanner had eaten everything from yesterday. Instead of her regular car she brought us back to her house in a big black Jeep, and even Sunny had a hard time getting in - Aunt Corey got her workout getting me in! When we got here another kid had dropped their snack so we were very happy. I think I smell chicken cooking - this is going to be good!!! Momma Update

Momma called Pappa... shez made it safe to Amsterdam. She said she got no sleep on her flight :( Monte and I got plenty of sleep home w/ Pappa, although he didn't let us jump up into bed until this morning, and then for only like 5 minutes. But that beats not being in bed at all! We'ze also gettin famous - other than this blog. That's the update for now. 2 days till Pappa brings us over to Aunt Corey's when he goes to Amsterdam w/ Mamma.....

Momma & Poppa – DON’T GO!!

Our little hearts continue top break as we lay in the bedroom and watch Momma pack. Momma goes to Amsterdam tonight and Poppa leaves for Amsterdam on Wednesday. They'ze will both gone til mid next week . We'ze’ll be at Aunt Corey's (we love Aunt Corey cause she give us icy cream) but we'ze still sad cause we miss Momma and Poppa and out brothers and sister. Even though there's not much to miss about Sporkie, she swipes at us every chance she gets! Momma bought us tons of treats for our stay at Aunt Corey’s and she promised that Brad would come and play with us a couple of times. Maybe Aunt Corey will let Rocky and Cole come over to play. And hopefully we'ze see Champ and Duke too!

Poppa left us this morning to go camping w/ Uncle Crumley. And the weather is horrible so we can't go outside and play to take out minds off of the fact that we'ze won't see him to Sunday night. Our little hearts are broken.

a visit to grandma's

We'ze all went to Grandma's house yesterday for Mother's Day. We'ze had so much fund and we'ze ate so much we'd probably be able to go without food for days. We'ze finally met Christine - we'ze we was shocked. She's been around all my puppy life but I not my Momma had ever met here so we'ze thought she was an urban legend. But it turns out she's not AND she's really nice. We made us some bacon, took us for a walk (uncle gimme went too) and let us sit on the couch with her. She pet Monte for a good while. Momma taught Uncle Gimme how to play sudoku - he's hooked but he sucks!!! BAD! Uncle Gimme is so good to me, he fed me cheese and crackers for a long time without Momma finding out - hehehe. And apparently they have several icy cream trucks at Grandma's but none have soft serve which is what we normally eat. So Momma got us a frozen pop called "the great white". It was a lemon flavored popsicle shaped like a shark. Momma and Poppa took Grandma and Cousin Gordon to Outback where Gordan proceeded to drink 6 Iced Teas!! He was like a faucet later in the evening. The drive home was great. Momma drove and Poppa slept in the back with us. We'ze got home at 1:30 in the morning. I think that's the latest I'ze ever stayed up. Momaa is being lazy this morning. She didn't get up til 10!!

GET OUT OF MY WAY

Momma and Poppa took is for a drive today... yipee! s The car stopped and we jumped out. Oh wait! Where are we??? Oh hell no! I'ze jumping back in the car!! I'ze not going in there. Monte hurry get back in the car - damn - too late Poppa closed the door. I don't need to get my nails clipped! Momma and Poppa dragged us through the store to the groomer's area. Monte got his nails clipped first and Poppa took him to the car when he was done. Momma stayed with me while they did mine. Finally they was done! IT WAS HORRIBLE. I'm outta here. As soon as Momma opened the door leaving the grooming area and into the store, I ran like the devil with Momma in tow. It was a full out sprint. Momma almost lost her pants and I yelled GET OUT OF MY WAY the entire way to the front door. You shoudl have seen the people. The look on their faces was priceless. You'da thought that there was a freight train coming at them.

We love the Creek

It's been an eventful day. Momma had the electrician over today doing some work. There was 2 of them. Monte barked his head off at them but I took all the pettings they were willing to give. They said I was beautiful. Then this afternoon we went for a walk in the park. I really love the creek. It was so hot today and it's gonna be 80 tomorrow. Momma said she's never seen us walk back so slow. I'ze got no idea what we'ze gonna do when summer really gets here. Maybe we'll shave and pretend to be Labs for the summer.

So Many New Friends

We went to Aunt Corey's to play with Cole. Cole came over to Aunt Corey's yard and we played for 4 hours!! It was so much fun. And so many pups kept walking by and visiting us. We met a beagle named Champ and a 9 wk old golden retriever named Duke that Momma gave far too much attention to for my liking. Rocky came over to Aunt Corey's to play too. We'ze had so much fun and were so exhausted! We'ze were hoping that the icy cream truck would come by but it didn't so Uncle Crumley made us all a cone. Cole too. Everything was fine but Cole eats a lot slower than Monte. Monte tried to take Cole's cone, that didn't go over so well! We'ze going back to Aunt Corey's in a little while to watch the Kentucky Derby and Nascar later!! Hopefully we will play with Cole again.
